New rear brake light switch for select early-model Honda CT90 "Trail 90," CB175, and CB450 motorcycles.

The brake light switches on vintage early-model Honda CT90 motorcycles are now four or five decades old. Like any electrical component exposed to the elements and years of use, they are likely close to failure—if they haven't already stopped working. These switches fit early generations of the CT90, as well as some early CB175, CL175 Scrambler, and CB450 motorcycles.

These terminals are correct and should be connected as follows:
Before installation, clean the connectors on the wiring harness with contact cleaner and fine sandpaper or emery cloth. Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to protect them from the elements.
The spring included with the new switch is longer than the OEM switch and must be cut or bent to the correct size. If you are missing the original spring, the OEM switch spring measures 138 mm (approximately 5.375 inches). Modify the new spring to match this length for proper operation.
