Clear Poly Fuel Line (5.5mm) | Honda CT90 / CB175 / CB350 / CB360 / CB450 / CB550 / CB750
If your fuel lines are cracked, yellowed, or leaking at the petcock, it’s time. This clear polyurethane fuel line is made in the USA and specifically formulated for fuel and oil transfer—not hardware-store vinyl that swells and splits. With a 5.5mm inner diameter at the proper Honda specification, it fits carburetor and petcock barbs without the loose fit of standard 1/4” (6mm) tubing.
Why You Need This
Got the carbs off for a rebuild? Replacing that leaky petcock? Why not use some nice, clear, poly fuel line when putting it all back together? Most fuel line from the auto parts store or hardware store is 1/4” or 6mm ID—which always fits loose on Honda barbs and requires clamps just to take up the difference. This line is 5.5mm ID, which is the Honda specification for a snug, proper fit on carburetor and petcock barbs.
Made in the USA from fuel-rated polyurethane with an extra-thick wall for durability and kink resistance. Clear so you can see fuel flow and spot problems. Sold in 3-foot lengths—enough to plumb a set of carbs and a tank crossover tube.

Model-Specific Notes
- CB175 / CL175 / SL175 / CB200 / CL200 owners: These models use a mix of 5.5mm and 4.5mm fuel line depending on the year and connection point. See the details below.
- Tank crossover line: CB175 K4–K7, CL175, SL175, CB200, and CL200 all use this 5.5mm fuel line for the tank crossover. The CB175 K3 used a 4.5mm fuel line for the crossover.
- Petcock-to-carb line: CB175 K0, CB175 K4–K7, SL175, CB200, and CL175 K3 use a 4.5mm fuel line for the petcock-to-carburetor connections.
- Petcock-to-tank line: CB175 K3, CL175 K4–K7, and CL200 could use either 4.5mm or 5.5mm depending on the petcock. Measure the outer diameter of the widest part of the brass fuel outlet on your petcock—if it’s about 6mm, use 4.5mm line. If it’s about 7mm, use this 5.5mm line.
Installation
Difficulty: Beginner
Tools needed: Sharp knife or tubing cutter, spring-action hose clamps (recommended)
- Remove the old fuel lines from the petcock and carburetors. Note the routing before pulling anything off.
- Cut the new line with a tubing cutter or sharp knife—cut as close to 90 degrees as possible for a clean seal.
- Start at the carburetors when running fresh lines. A dab of oil on the barbs (motor oil or penetrating lubricant) helps the line slide on.
- Route the line up to the petcock before cutting it to length. Leave the lines a bit longer than you think—you’ll want room to trim the ends the next few times you remove the gas tank.
- Add spring-action squeeze hose clamps to ensure a positive seal between the tank and the carbs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I just use fuel line from the auto parts store?
You can, but it won’t fit right. Most off-the-shelf fuel line is 1/4” or 6mm ID, which is slightly too large for Honda petcock and carburetor barbs. It will fit loose and require clamps just to take up the difference. This line is 5.5mm ID—the Honda specification—for a snug fit without fighting loose connections.
Is one 3-foot length enough for my bike?
For most twins (CB350, CB360, CB450, CB500T)—yes. One 3-foot length is enough to plumb both carburetors and the tank crossover tube. For four-cylinder models (CB350F, CB400F, CB500, CB550, CB750) or bikes with long routing, you may need two lengths.
Do I need hose clamps with this fuel line?
The 5.5mm line fits snugly on Honda barbs and will hold without clamps in many cases. But for a reliable, leak-free seal—especially on a petcock that sees vibration—we recommend adding spring-action squeeze hose clamps at every connection.
Does this fit the Honda CB175 or CB200?
It depends on the connection. The CB175 and CB200 family uses a mix of 5.5mm and 4.5mm fuel line depending on the model year and which connection you’re replacing. See the Model-Specific Notes section above for a detailed breakdown by year and connection point.
