Why You Need This: Got the carbs off for a rebuild? Replacing that leaky petcock? Why not use some nice, clear, polyurethane fuel line when putting it all back together? This fuel hose is made in the USA from a flexible polyester-based pipe that is resistant to fuel, oil, and grease. It yellows slightly with time but remains flexible, tough, and abrasion-resistant. This is not your hardware store clear vinyl tubing. This fuel line is the factory Honda 5.5 mm spec for your motorcycle which means it grips tight with no clamps or zip ties needed. It can be incredibly difficult to find the proper 5.5 mm size fuel line so be sure to have spares on hand. Sold in 3 foot lengths.
*Note:
- CB175 K4 - K7 / CL175 / SL175 / CB200 / CL200 models all use this 5.5 mm fuel line for the tank crossover line. The CB175 K3 used a 4.5 mm fuel line for the gas tank crossover line.
- CB175 K0 / CB175 K4-K7 / SL175 / CB200 / CL175 K3 use a 4.5 mm fuel line for the petcock to carburetor fuel line connections.
- CB175 K3 / CL175 K4 - K7 / CL200 could have used a 4.5 mm fuel line or this 5.5 mm fuel line for the petcock to tank connections. For these motorcycles, it is best to measure the outer diameter (OD) of the widest part of the brass fuel outlet on the petcock. If the OD is about 6 mm, you will use a 4.5 mm fuel line. If the OD is about 7 mm, you will use a 5.5 mm fuel line.
Installation Tip: Use a tubing cutter to cut ends as close to 90 degrees as possible. Use light oil on extra-tight, extra-tough fittings. Start at your carburetors when running fresh lines and run it up to the petcock before cutting it. Since the line fits so well, it can also be difficult to remove and at times needs to be cut off. Because of this, leave the lines a bit longer so there is room to trim the ends the next few times you have to remove the gas tank.
