New pair of front fork gaiters aka fork boots for vintage Honda CT90 / Trail 90 motorcycles

Fork gaiters take a lot of abuse, and after decades of service they're usually torn, dry rotted, cracked, or otherwise damaged to the point of being useless. While gaiters style fork boots do add a certain vintage charm to your bike, they're not just for looks—they also keep your fork tubes clean and protect your fork seals from dust, debris, and other foreign objects. If the gaiters on your vintage Honda CT90 are falling apart or missing altogether, we offer brand new, Honda OEM replacements. Fork boots are sold in pairs.

You'll need to remove your forks to replace your fork gaiters. Prop your bike up on the center stand and break loose all the pinch bolts on the triple tree. Prop the front of the bike up with a jack stand or other sturdy prop. Remove the front wheel, then loosen the triple tree bolts the rest of the way and gently slide the fork tubes out. Now you can remove your old gaiters.

Once you get the gaiters off, make sure to inspect the fork tubes for any damage/rust pitting and inspect the fork seal to make sure it's not leaking. Clean everything thoroughly, and if your forks aren't damaged or leaking, slide your new gaiters on and secure them. Reinstall everything, make sure your bolts are torqued down to spec, and now you have a fresh pair of gaiters to last a few more decades.
