Plastic Fork Guides for the External Fork Springs of your Honda CT90 - "Trail 90"
Plastic fork guides are there to prevent direct contact between the metal fork springs and the chrome fork tubes of your vintage Honda Trail 90. They sit inside the external fork springs. Without guides, the fork springs could become misaligned, leading to uneven suspension performance and potentially causing a rougher ride.
Keep your vintage Honda CT90's suspension in peak condition with these OEM replacement plastic fork guides. Manufactured in Japan, these guides are designed to fit perfectly inside the external fork springs. Whether you’re upgrading your suspension or replacing worn-out parts, these guides ensure smooth, trouble-free performance for your vintage bike. Fork guides sold in pairs.
You will need to remove your forks to replace the fork guides. Prop your bike up on the center stand and break loose all the pinch bolts on the triple tree. Prop the front of your motorcycle up with a jack stand or other sturdy prop, then remove the front wheel. Loosen the triple tree bolts the rest of the way and gently slide the fork tubes out.
Before installing the new guides, remove the gaiters and inspect your fork tubes for any signs of wear or damage. Inspect the fork seals to make sure there are no leaks. Clean off any dirt or debris. Lightly lubricate the new plastic fork guides with some fork oil or another light lubricant before installing them. When reassembling your forks make sure all your bolts are torqued down to factory spec.
