Spring for the rear brake light switch on vintage Honda singles, twins, and fours motorcycles.
The rear brake light is a necessary but often overlooked piece of your motorcycles safety equipment. Over time, the spring on the rear brake light switch can wear out, corrode, or break. If the spring brakes, your taillight won't activate when you hit the rear brakes.
The spring used with the rear brake stop switch came in many different lengths throughout the years and versions of each motorcycle. Our replacement spring is 3.375 inches / 85mm long.
If the rear brake light switch on your vintage Honda has gone bad, we sell a new, OEM-style switch to replace it.
This switch is often over tightened to the point where the spring pulls on the center pin. This causes the brake light to stay on. The proper adjustment is to find the point where the brake light turns on just as the rear brake pedal is being depressed.
