Why You Need This
A stock Honda CB175 or CB200 barn find drops in your lap, but the original mufflers are in bad shape. Our Honda CB175 / CB200 mufflers are the perfect replacements. These universal mufflers measure 27.25" (69.2 cm) and include metal spacers, mounting hardware, and clamp. They offer a similar vibe to the factory mufflers and are a thrifty option for the obsolete originals, sounding great too. Baffles are removable. Remember to replace your exhaust header gaskets when installing your new mufflers.
Installation Tip
Using a hacksaw or cutting wheel, carefully saw the collar that crimps the factory muffler flange to the header pipe flange. Pry the collar off with a flat head screwdriver and uncouple the header pipe from the muffler. Use two provided metal spacers, sealing the gap with high-temperature RTV (see images). Remove the muffler bracket from the frame for better fitment. Using the provided bolts, washers, and nuts, connect the muffler and bracket. Slide the muffler and spacer up to the edge of the flange, ensuring the bracket aligns and the header pipe and muffler mate neatly. Mark the area for you to create a slight recess on the back of the right muffler. This is needed just like the OEM mufflers so the right muffler sits close enough to the frame to clear the kickstarter. Use a plastic mallet to hammer in a recess (see images). Reinstall the right muffler and spacer up to the edge of the flange, ensuring the bracket aligns and the header pipe and muffler mate neatly. Tighten all bolts in stages for proper alignment. Polish the header pipes with a brillo pad and chrome polish. Lastly, use automotive heater hose to cover the foot on your stands to avoid marring your new mufflers.
