Part: Tachometer Cable for Honda CB175 / CL175 / SL175 / CB200 / CL200 motorcycles.
Why You Need This: If your Honda CB175 or CB200 Tachometer starts acting up, it might be time to change your tachometer cable. The tachometer is mechanically driven by a revolving cable inside the gauge housing. Often over time, the tachometer cable can get kinked or one of the cable ends can be bent or sheared off. This can cause a variety of symptoms - the needle bouncing, sticking in place, or not even registering your vintage Honda's RPMs. The speedometer works the same, so be sure to check the speedometer cable as well.
Note: Two cable length options are available. The CL and SL models will require the shorter cable measuring 22.25 inches (56.5 cm) and the CB models will require the long cable measuring 24.5 inches (62.2 cm).
Installation Tip: Completely remove the tachometer set screw on both the engine and the wheel to get the cable seated properly. Put a little dab of light grease on each end of the cable before installing.
