Part: Honda CB360 / CB450 / CB500 / CB550 Front Wheel Bearing & Dust Seal Kit (Disc Brake Models)

Why You Need This: We often see that wheel bearings are an ignored service item on vintage Hondas. Bad wheel bearings can lead to serious steering and handling problems on your motorcycle. If you find that the front wheel has lateral play (back and forth movement perpendicular to the axle), is not turning smoothly or the bearings feel "crunchy" or leaking grease, it is time to replace the bearings. Luckily, our kit makes it easy to change the front wheel bearings of your Honda CB360, CB450, CB500 or CB550. They are guaranteed to fit and give excellent performance. The kit includes two pre-lubricated wheel bearings and a pair of new dust seals to keep road dirt out. Now your bike will roll smooth like butter! If you are working on the front end of your bike make sure your brake caliper is in tip top shape too!

Installation Tip: Apply heat with a heat gun to help remove the old bearings. They will need to be driven out using a long punch. A little heat will also help install the new bearings. Get the hub hot and press the new bearings in. Use a large socket or a piece of tubing that it is about the same diameter of the bearing's outer race as a driver. Never push on the inner race or blue dust seal, it will damage or destroy the bearing.

Front wheel bearing rebuild
I replaced the bearings on my disc equipped 1974 CB350 front wheel. The help video provided all the tips required to get the job done! Thanks for the tip on using heat to make the pressing in/out of the bearings easy! I give Common-motor and this kit 2 thumbs up!
