Why You Need This Part: CB500T Carburetors stand out due to their unique anti-backfire system by Honda. Over time, like many rubber components on motorcycles, the air cutoff valve diaphragms harden. For optimal performance, these diaphragms should remain soft and pliable. As they're sold individually, a total of two diaphragms are needed per motorcycle. For those looking to entirely overhaul the carburetors of their CB500T, we offer comprehensive CB500T carburetor rebuild kits. These kits encompass the air cutoff valve diaphragms and all essential o-rings, gaskets, and brass pieces. In addition, we provide main jet tuning kits and standalone gasket kits for your carburetors.
Note: This diaphragm isn't compatible with the CB500K / CB550 4-cylinder motorcycle range.
Installation Tip:Ensure the small brass tip faces the carburetor, with the spring positioned at the diaphragm's rear, between the diaphragm and its cover. The provided diaphragm comes with a marginally firmer spring. If your CB500T displays aggressive deceleration symptoms, such as loud exhaust pops, consider retaining and using the original spring. Retain the originals as spares.
