Why You Need This: If your fuel valve just will not stop leaking no matter what position it is in, you're probably due for a rebuild. This OEM replacement kit includes all the small unique bits needed to rebuild the petcock on the Honda CB500T / CB550K / CB550F / CB750K / CB750F models. Note that this kit will only work with the factory Honda fuel valve, it will not work with our CMC #6083 replacement petcock. If you are looking to keep your Honda as original as possible then this is the petcock rebuild kit you need. There's a good chance it is time to replace that old crusty fuel line as well.

Installation Tip: The tank nut that is included will not necessarily fit all Honda tanks as there is quite a bit of variation in the mounting threads. You will most likely need to reuse your existing tank nut, which should work just fine with the new seals and strainer. Use a small dab of light grease or oil when you install the rubber components so that everything goes together smoothly. This petcock rebuild kit will not fit aftermarket replacement petcocks.
