Why You Need This: To ensure optimal engine performance, the spark plugs on your vintage Honda need to be gapped to the factory specifications found in your Honda model's Owner's Manual. Having the right gap will ensure that the spark plug is putting out the correct spark to ignite the air and fuel mixture to power your motorcycle, and will help avoid premature spark plug failure by reducing the chance of burned electrodes. Even though many spark plugs come pre-gapped by the manufacturer they may fit many different engines but are not necessarily set to fit your specific model of motorcycle. Our coin style spark plug gap tool (also called ramp style gauge) is perfect for the job. The gauge's outer edge starts out thin and gets thicker as you move around it. It features measurements in both inches and millimeters around the edge and is equipped with a gap opener so you can quickly adjust the gap to the distance needed. Our spark plug gapper is made in the USA, it measures gaps from 0.20" to 0.1000" (0.50 mm to 2.5 mm).
