Part: Honda Factory-Style Rear Shocks for CB175 / CL175 / CB200 / CL200
Why You Need This: The original Honda rear shock absorbers on the CB175, CL175 or CB200 were never really outstanding. Fifty years later, they are probably worse than squishy, and by now the dampening oil has almost certainly oozed out. We understand wanting to keep your vintage Honda as close to stock as possible, so throw a pair of these factory-style shocks on your CB200 grocery getter or CL175 scrambler and be on your way. Featuring the standard spring-preload adjuster, these factory-style shocks will improve the comfort and ride of your Honda twin.
Measured Dimensions:
Installation Tip: Use some bearing grease to lubricate the bushing and slide it on the frame. Determine the proper preload by sitting on the motorcycle the shock should compress 20%-30% of the travel. Be sure to change the spring pre-load when riding with a passenger. Travel distance is measured from the bottom of the rubber bumper on the chrome shock tube (viewed inside the spring) and the top of the piston seal on the lower body tube.
