Part: Headlight Two Way (on/off) Toggle Switch with Dust Boot - Universal application but works well as a headlight bucket mounted on / off switch. Can be used on Honda CT90 / CB175 / CB200 / CB350 / CB360 / CB450 / CB550 / CB750 motorcycles
Why You Need This: This industrious singe throw (on/off) toggle switch with a dust boot is for a headlight bucket modification. Inspired by old BMW headlight controls from the 1960's, this modification will work on any Honda CT90 / CB175 / CB200 / CB350 / CB360 / CB450 / CB550 / CB750. The modification allows you to toggle your headlight on and off if your bike is not equipped with a factory right handle bar on/off switch. The factory switch is often broken or missing on many bikes or perhaps you are going for a simplified wiring set up for a custom build. The purpose of the mod is to have the headlight off when starting to give maximum power to the ignition coils and makes the bike easier to start (necessary if you are using the electric starter removal kit or running a small battery). Also this is a must if you are looking to do a simplified wiring harness. The switch includes a water proof dust boot to keep the elements out. This single throw (on/off) toggle switch works great with our halogen H4 headlight bucket kit.
Installation Tip: Drill a hole in your headlight bucket and wire this switch in line with the ground wire coming off the headlight socket. We always suggest soldering all connections versus automotive style crimp connectors. This single throw switch assumes you still have the left hand HI / LOW beam controls working. If not, we have a three way toggle switch that can be used to control LOW / OFF / HI beams on the headlight. Contact us directly if you need wiring help.
