Why You Need This: Honda was revolutionary when they put electric starters on the majority of the motorcycles starting in the 1960's. Honda CB350, CL350, SL350, CB360, CL360, CB450, CL450, CB500T all have electric starters, which also means they have starter solenoids. The solenoid is just a giant switch that connects the starter to the battery and is triggered by the button on the right hand handlebar switch box. Over time starter solenoids wear out or cooks from being cycled heavily.
We have a direct replacement starter solenoid designed to fit Honda CB350, CL350, SL350, CB360, CL360, CB450, CL450, CB500T whether it is a stock replacement or a custom build. The replacement starter solenoid can be configured as stock or wired up as a custom part, just depends on how you want got go about the configuration the electrical system on your bike. The solenoid allows for custom mounting and has a fused (30 Amp) power tap if needed. Combine this with a new replacement AMG battery and your bike will have all the juice it needs to crank the engine right over.
Installation Tip: Make sure to check the continuity of the starter button on your handlebar switch. Disconnect your battery (always unhook the negative side first) and remove it from the bike prior to installation. The connections on the solenoid for both the large wires and the smaller wires can be connected in either way as the replacement solenoid is symmetrical.
