Why You Need This: If your Honda CB175 or CB200 speedometer is not working, check out the speedometer cable. A common culprit for speedometer problems the cable on your CL175 or CL200 might have gotten or frayed or kinked from improper routing. After fifty years of use, one of the ends might have gotten sheered off or snapped due to incorrect seating - this can cause a jumpy or inaccurate reading. The speedometer cable runs from the front wheel to the speedometer gauge and mechanically drives the reading. Be sure to check the tachometer as well.
Installation Tip: Completely remove the screw that holds the speedometer cable onto the front wheel to ensure proper removal. Put a dab of light grease on teach end of the cable and rotate it until you feel it seat properly.
