Rear brake light switch for vintage Honda singles, twins, and fours motorcycles.
NOTE: This switch is not compatible with early CT90s through the K5 and the CB450 K0.
NOTE: The spring used with the rear brake stop switch came in many different lengths throughout the years and versions of each motorcycle. Our replacement spring is 3.375 inches / 85mm long and fits the majority of vintage Honda motorcycles equipped with this switch. If your stock spring is significantly longer or shorter than our replacement, you will need to reuse the original or modify our replacement spring to be closer in length.
The rear brake light switch is an often overlooked but still necessary piece of your bike's safety equipment. Over time, various parts of the switch like the spring and connectors can wear out, corrode, or break. If your switch goes bad, your taillight won't activate when you hit the rear brakes. If the rear brake light switch on your vintage Honda has gone bad, we sell a new, OEM-style switch to replace it.
Our new rear brake light switch is a perfect replacement for your old, worn out, or broken switch. You can order it three different ways—just the switch, just the spring, or the whole assembly with the switch and spring—to suit your needs.
This switch is often over tightened to the point where the spring pulls on the center pin. This causes the brake light to stay on. The proper adjustment is to find the point where the brake light turns on just as the rear brake pedal is being depressed.
