Replacement Rear Drum Brake Cable for Honda CT90 - "Trail 90" (K0–K5) Motorcycles
Noticing stiffness in the rear brake lever of your vintage Honda Trail 90? Over time, rear drum brake cables can become sticky and stiff with dirt or rust, making it difficult for the cable to move smoothly inside the housing. Replacing the old sticky cable with a new one can make a big difference in braking feel and control.
Our replacement rear drum brake cable will help bring back the smooth, reliable performance your CT90 once had. A fresh cable means easier lever action, resulting in stronger, more confident stops. For best results, pair your new brake cable with a fresh set of brake shoes.
Note: After the CT90 K5, Honda removed the left-side rear brake lever and moved exclusively to a foot pedal-operated rear brake on all subsequent CT90 models.
All new cables should be lubricated before installation. A quality cable lube or light machine oil works great for this task. Watch our Cables 101 video for more information on cable installation and care.
