Parts: Honda CL450 Scrambler / CB450 K0-K2 Front Drum Brake Shoes
Why You Need This: Are you still running those old front brake shoes that came with your bike? Chances are since you have a Honda CL450 Scrambler or Honda CB450 K0 through K2, the answer is yes. Sure, they kind of work until the friction lining falls off the shoe. Yes, we've seen it many times and until now new front shoes have been a tough part for CL and CB owners to find. We've been able to source high quality parts out of Japan. Finish up the job with a fresh front brake cable cable to ensure all that squeezing makes it down to the front wheel. Remember, the front brake does 80% of the stopping power of the bike, so make sure your system is functioning properly.
Note: This set of shoes will require you to reuse your old return springs
Installation Tip: Clean the brake drum and mounting plate well with brake cleaner. The shoe pivot points and the cam should have a light coat of brake caliper grease applied to them. Make sure to wipe up any excess up and keep it away from the friction surface. Clean up the inside of the drum with some 80 grit sandpaper to remove the glaze on the surface. Use new cotter pins when installing the brake shoes.
