Difficulty: Beginner
Tools needed: JIS screwdriver
The CB450 K0 black bomber, CB450 K1, and CB450 K2 were the only CB450 models to use a front drum brake and this front wheel bearing retainer. All other front drum brake models were the CL450 Scrambler models. If you have a CB450 K3 or later with a front hydraulic disc brake, you need our front disc brake bearing retainer.
No, you do not need a special tool to remove the front wheel bearing retainer on your drum brake CB450 and CL450. A JIS screwdriver will make the job easier, but a standard Phillips screw driver or impact driver will remove the screws. The rear wheel bearing retainer on these motorcycles will need our specialized rear wheel bearing removal tool to be removed and replaced.
