Part: Honda CL350 / SL350 / CB350 Upper Stainless Steel Allen Head Bolt Kit

Why You Need This: After stripping out countless Phillips head screws on our side cases we decided to offer an Allen head bolt kit to solve the problem. Instead of struggling with the strip-prone Phillips screws we suggest swapping them all out to some clean stainless steel Allen head bolts. The Allen bolts provide a much more removal-friendly fastener. Bolt kits include the necessary wrenches to make the job easier. If you are taking the side covers off you might need a service gasket kit to finish off the job.

Installation Tip: Remove the old screws with an impact driver. Use some anti-seize compound on the threads of the bolts and make sure not to over tighten.

Enthusiast

Nothing like getting rid of those God forsaken Philips screws that the Japanese used back in the 60's and 70's. Yes, I know they are actually JIS but still, after 53 years you can't get the things out and not "screw" a bunch of them up. Hex screws are the way to go and when you use some anti-seize on the installation, you'll never have another problem with stuck bolts again.

An impact driver was my best friend when taking off the cases. No way was I going to put the old screws or anything like them back on. This kit is fantastic and comes with a life-sized sheet with silhouettes showing which screw goes where.
