Part: Rear Rubber Tank Mount for Honda CB175 (K6-K7) / CB450, CL450 Scrambler, CB500T / CB750 (K0-K5)
Why You Need This: Since its common to remove the gas tank on your vintage Honda motorcycle its normal to find your little stretchy tear tank mount cracked, dry rotted out, or even missing. Well we've got new ones to hold your tank in place like it came from the factory. Made in Japan from high quality rubber, our rear tank mount is almost* exactly like the original found on your Honda CB175 (K6-K7) / CB450, CL450 Scrambler, CB750 (K0-K5). Replacements are available for the front tank mounts if they are missing as well.
* The rear tank mounts have two small cutouts on the bottom to so that they clear some bolts mounted to the frame. The cutouts on these replacement rubbers are slightly smaller than those on the factory mounts. To make them fit just right, remove some rubber on the inside of each cutout with an x-acto or pocket knife. See pictures. It takes a few seconds; just don't cut yourself.
Installation Tip: The point of the rubber mount faces towards the front of the motorcycle. The front mounts must be in place to make sure everything fits just right otherwise the gas tank will be not be secure on the frame.
