Why You Need This
Many CT90s and CT110s still have original tires on them from the 1970s or early '80s. Even if the tread looks "acceptable," rubber that old has dried out, cracked, become rock hard and lost all grip. The sidewalls may look fine from across the garage, but up close you'll see cracking that means the tire is done.
Kenda makes a 2.75" wide x 17" diameter Vintage Off Road tire — knobby square tread pattern, the period-correct look that came stock on the CT90. Best for mixed use: pavement and dirt/gravel.

The CT90 uses the same 17" x 2.75" size front and rear. If you're replacing both tires, order two — you can run the same style on both ends, or mix styles (off-road rear + street front, for example).

Kenda, based in Taiwan, manufactures tires across Asia primarily for 2 wheeled vehicles, specializing in motorcycle, moped, scooter and bicycle tires distributed worldwide. They're one of the few manufacturers still producing tires in the CT90's 17" x 2.75" size with vintage knobby off road pattern.

- Remove the wheel from the motorcycle.
- Break the bead on the old tire using a bead breaker tool, then lever the tire off the rim with tire irons.
- Inspect the rim for damage — check for side runout (under 1.0mm is serviceable) and bent spokes.
- Install a fresh rim strip before mounting the new tire.
- Mount the new tire with the balance dot (yellow or white circle on sidewall) aligned with the tube's valve stem. Check the rotational direction arrow on the sidewall.
- Use baby powder inside the tire and on the tube to ease installation and prevent pinching. Glass cleaner (like Windex) works as a lubricant between the tire and rim bead.
- Inflate the tire to approximately 25 psi before mounting the wheel on the bike to check for pinched tubes.
- Reinstall the wheel. Set tire pressure to 25 psi front / 32 psi rear.
